Yesterday we went to Áfangagil that is located close to mountain Hekla to watch when the farmers collect their sheep´s back together from the mountains. It is a big event in Iceland and the schools are closed ( in our area) so that everybody can participate. For us that only have horses and no sheeps it is fun to go and watch, meet all the people and in my case....take photos.
This is a annual event and almost year after year the weather stays amazing during this day, warm with allot of sun that of course makes this day even better. If you are in Iceland during this time of the year you should look up if there is any sheep round-up close to were you are travelling. Here below you can see some photos from the day in Áfangagil.
