Back home at Skeiðvellir after a great week in Reykjavík at Landsmót. What can be better than spending a whole week watching amazing horses and enjoying a great companie. The team from Skeiðvellir did very well. We did not have so many horses in the breedingclasses this time, but Glitnir frá Eikarbrekku that belongs to Ante Eklund and my partents raised his notes and ended with 8,48 and 4th place in the 6 year old stallionclass. Sóley frá Skeiðvöllum also raised her notes and got 8,02 total. Not bad for a 4 year old mare and also fourgaiter. Ási our trainer did very well, he was competing in the youth class with his horse Reyr frá Melabergi and they had a top show and ended in second place. Reyr is a great horse with extremly good tölt and high leg action. Ási was also competing with the stallion Hvessir frá Ásbrú in A - flokkur, did not make it to the final but it is a young horse and his second competition so we have a good feeling regarding the future with him. For me it was of course the top moment at Landsmót when Dabbi won the 100m speedpass with the time 7,57 on our mare Irpa frá Borgarnesi. Her fastest time yet and she is also only 7 years old and is improving every month. Dabbi was also working as a judge the whole week so he was quite busy. Otherwise we also had allot of salehorses with us, some of them are sold and I am working on updating the horses for sale page with new horses. We also had a Icelandic market with the things that we have in our shop here at Skeiðvellir. Landsmót is truly a festival and it is also so nice to be able to meet friends from all over the world at one place. Thanks again everybody for a great week :)
